How do I get started with FairDeal Metal?

FairDeal Metal is a customer-centric B2B platform, designed specifically for metal vendors. It aims to bring traders, wholesalers, retailers and manufacturers in India on to a single platform. With real-time prices, multiple products, and great B2B features, FairDeal Metal has leveraged technology to curate a platform that helps ambitious businessmen to scale & nurture their businesses. To get started with FairDeal Metal, you need to register on the FDM website and complete the signup. Once registered & KYC approved, you will have access to all the products listed from sellers from all over India.

I've filled the signup and KYC form? What do I do now?

Once the signup is done, the user is approved to log in but can only list products after KYC is complete. The user can log in using his email ID + password he had set during sign up.

Additionally, the user can log in using OTP through the mobile number which doesn’t require a password.

When can I start selling products?

Once the user has signed up, his capabilities are limited to only viewing the listed products.

The capabilities to list and sell the products would be allotted only after the KYC check is complete.

How do I signup?

Any user who signs up would sign up using email and phone numbers. Each phone number would be linked to a single E-mail address to avoid multiple logins.

The user can opt to get registered as a trader/recycler while filling out the signup form. After signup, the user gets redirected to the vendor KYC form.

What documents are required for KYC?

KYC documents required during signup :

  • GST Certificate (Trader, Recycler)
  • Aadhar Card (Trader, Recycler)
  • PAN Card (Trader, Recycler)
  • Selfie (Trader, Recycler)
  • Pollution Certificate (Recycler only)
  • Red PB Certificate (Recycler only)
  • Plant Photos (Recycler only)

How many days would it take to get my KYC done?

Usually, KYC will be approved in 2 business days or earlier considering that all the documents are correct.

In special cases, we might reach out to get clarification on some documents or in case any other documents are required.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

What are the payment terms at FairDeal Metal?

Once the order is placed, it’ll be approved by the FDM team and post-approval you’ll receive a mail along with an invoice and bank account details.

10% of the total order amount has to be paid as EMD(earnest money deposit) post which the order status will be changed and the order processing will begin.

Rest of the payment has to be done before the delivery of the goods.

What if the order quality isn't upto the mark or as described?

All our sellers are verified and product quality checks are performed before the product is loaded onto the freight, in case of any transportation damages. The buyer shall be reimbursed a certain percentage of the order amount base on inspection and approval from the FDM team.

What happens if I cancel an order?

If an order is cancelled it’d affect the reviews of the listed buyer post several order cancellations, you might be barred from the platform.

If the order is cancelled before EMD payment then 1% of the total order amount would be charged before the buyer can place another order.

If the order is cancelled from the buyer’s end post EMD payment then EMD would be deducted and returned accordingly to the buyer based on freight costs and the seller’s expenses,

How much time will be provided to pay the EMD post placing the order?

Once the invoice is generated and mailed to the buyer. The buyer shall have 2 business days to process the EMD.

It is suggested to place the order only when you have the funds ready. Our preferred payment mode is NEFT/RTGS keeping bank delays instant payment is appreciated.

BUYING & SELLING PRODUCTS

How do I list my product for sale?

Once the user is approved, the user gets the capabilities to add/upload the product.

Here are the steps to upload products:

  • Go to https://fairdealmetal.com/my-account/
  • Go to Vendor Dashboard
  • Click on Products
  • Click on Add New Products
  • Enter Product Name
  • Ensure that you upload high-quality pictures of the product with dimensions of 500×500 pixels for the best experience of the product.
  • Enter the price of the product in “Per Kg”
  • Select product category
  • Enter Product Weight in Kilograms
  • Click on “Continue”
  • This would redirect to the detailed page of the product upload.

What happens after ordering? How long will delivery take?

Based on the location, the order delivery might take 5-7 days post the complete payment.

Order processing starts after the EMD payment, the product is loaded onto the freight and the product will be unloaded post the complete payment.

For reference: We aim to deliver products from a seller in Hyderabad to a buyer in Delhi in 7 days.

How long would it take for the product to get listed?

Once you’ve added the product, its status would be changed to pending for review. After a check from the FDM team, it’ll be published on the platform, you’ll receive a mail when your product is published.

Usually, the product is approved and published in less than ~24 hrs.

How to buy a product?

Visit fairdealmetal.com/shop to view all the products.

  • Click on a product you wish to purchase that would lead to the product page.
  • Enter the required weight, product available quantity would be listed on the product page.
  • Check the updated product price after adding quantity and click on add to cart.
  • Clicking on add to cart would show the cart and then click on checkout.
  • Check the final product in the cart and click on process to checkout.
  • Fill in the billing details and shipping details and click on Place Order.
  • Payment Details for NEFT/RTGS to the respective bank account would be sent to your email ID along with the invoice post order approval from the FairDeal Metal Team for the EMD(earnest money deposit)

How can I remove a product?

Once the listed quantity of the product is replenished, it is automatically termed “Out of Stock”.

You can also change the product status from your account page and then product page.
